Tree Hugger's delight! Nestled in a hardwood forest on 4 acres with minimal neighbors. This ground level apartment with a separate entrance has 9 foot ceilings, and a huge (12 x 46) covered porch with hammock and outdoor shower. Finished in late 2016, the small kitchen has refrigerator with icemaker, microwave, dishwasher and electric stove. Two large, private bedrooms are separated by a generous living/dining area with a charming gas fireplace. Free wifi! Only broadcast tv reception by antenna, but bring your devices for streaming. We have Amazon Prime, Hulu and Netflix for you to watch. This rental is NOT handicap accessible, due to the steep gravel entrance path.

Our secluded home has one full bed in one bedroom and a queen bed in another. The master suite has one queen and a juvenile mattress that can come out of the walk-in closet. The master bath has a large shower and a garden tub, double sink, toilet and lots of cabinets with extra towels and supplies. The central bath has tub/shower combination, sink and toilet. The den has a large futon and a queen sleeper sofa. We also offer a queen-size air mattress. All bedrooms have extra linen and blankets. We have 400 ft on a picturesque bend of the Chauga River, towards the upper end of the River s 31 mile length. This home has nice landscaping and hardscaping that adds to its vacation setting. We have an outdoor fire pit with seating. (Wood provided) PLEASE- when you are reserving our cabin, please be accurate with your head count. It is not fair to our house cleaner when the reservation is for two, and there has obviously been 4 or more folks staying overnight. Or when our neighbors comment that they met 6 folks swimming or fishing and the reservation is only for two. Whether you are seeking a fishing experience, or a retreat from everyday life, you will really enjoy our secluded cabin with it's covered porch, steps from the river. With central heat & air, a modern kitchen with features like granite countertops & a dishwasher, this getaway will be comfortable and memorable. The current occupant has until 10 am to check out, and our cleaning lady will "turn" the space for you, taking approx. 2 hours.) It s located across from the boiled peanut stand, and is open 7 am to 7 pm every day except Sun and Wed. Straight out from our dock the water is over 20 feet deep. Bring your bait and tackle for the best fishing around. And since this is private lake, no fishing license is required. Part of Lake Cherokee’s timeless appeal is that it is a quiet 200 acre private lake that is accessible only to homeowners and their guests. To preserve and maintain the peaceful and serene nature of the lake, the Lake Association only allows owner residents to operate motorized boats or other motorized vessels, and jet skis are not allowed. Boaters can rent watercraft at Lake Jocassee about 10 minutes away. There is high speed internet and wifi throughout the house and each floor has its own thermostat for varied temperature control. Other amenities include a washer and dryer and several kitchen appliances including a coffeemaker, Keurig, crockpot, juicer, NutriBullet and an ice cream/sorbet maker. This spectacular Lakefront Vacation Home is located at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains, in the mountains of South Carolina. We are on Lake Cherokee, the largest private lake in the Golden Corner (Oconee County) of SC. We allow our guests use of our kayaks and canoe. Wonderful fishing lake. No fishing license required on private lake. We also have a wonderful swimming setup with good water at shoreline and walkin steps to the water. Mountain Views from the lake and the house. Bottom is flat at shoreline about 3 feet with very little slope until you get to the edge of the boat dock about 25feet away from shore, then drops off to deep water. You can dive off the end of the dock, and the little ones can enjoy the water near the shoreline. Great large private swimming area for all ages, protected from motorboats. As a private lake, our motorboat traffic is extremely low. Very peaceful. One of our great features of the house is its location on a point with our screened in porch off of the great room that overlooks the largest most expansive part of the lake. Our porch seems like it is suspended over the lake (but it is not). We frequently get wonderful comments on our porch in our guests feedback. We added Whippoorwill to our house name, since whippoorwills are less and less common and we always hear them at night when relaxing on our screened porch. We are across the street from the Sumter National forest. We are in Tamassee -with Lake Jocassee and Keowee to the east, Walhalla and the Chattooga River just west, and Highlands and Cashiers just to the north. Relaxing at a great lakefront retreat, enjoying Clemson Tiger football, and hiking, white-water rafting, and exploring, are all convenient and nearby. This top shelf home is located on a beautiful, private, 160+-acre, boatable lake with a large private dock, swimming area, and a nice view of the South Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains. The home has Direct TV and Good Wifi. With the internet, it is easy to find out where things while you are there. This is a great family vacation rental home for both the active group and the 'kickback and relax' family. The home is very fully equipped and is very upscale, yet casual. You are a scenic 35 minute drive to Cashiers, NC and 45 minutes from Highlands, quaint mountain towns with wonderful restaurants and shops. The turning of the leaves is coming soon and the Carolinas in this area are a spectacular tapestry of colors that rival those of New England in the fall. This home is 15 minutes away from grocery stores and many diverse restaurants as well as your big box stores and a modern Greenville Health System hospital. This home is an hour to Greenville or Anderson, an hour and 20 minutes to Ashevile, or 2 hours to Charlotte or Atlanta. GSP in Greenville is one of the easiest airports to get in and out of in the entire country and is less than a mile off I 85. If you are attending a football game at Tiger Stadium you will be pleased to know that you are only a 20 minute drive to Tiger Stadium and Death Valley driving a route over and around the stunning vistas of Lake Keowee. Once you enjoy the experience of a relaxing and restorative vacation in this home you will want to come back. Life is all about family, friends, and making memories. It is my intention to do everything I possibly can to make your stay one you will have fond memories of the rest of your life. These were the comments from my very first guest in my home on July 1, 2017. We absolutely loved our vacation at Fiddler’s Cove and can’t wait to go back! The host Randy is very friendly and easy to communicate with. Luckily, he is an also animal lover and allows well-behaved dogs in the house (and even on the sofa!), which we appreciated very much. It’s not easy to find a nice place to stay that allows medium-large dogs. We were greeted with pretty flowers on the table, and he made sure that the house had everything we needed for our family vacation; he even had two kayaks for us to use on the lake, which we enjoyed every day of our stay. He was reachable but otherwise left us to our vacation. The home is spacious and comfy, and there are lovely views of the lake from the bedrooms and living areas; we particularly enjoyed the peacefulness of the rocking chairs on the back deck and the pretty sunsets in the hot tub. We had several people in our party who have trouble with stairs, so having three bedrooms on the main level was helpful. Getting around the house was easy for them otherwise, and they were still able to go down to the lower level by walking in the yard around the house. The bedrooms are nicely decorated with luxurious sheets and fluffy comforters. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals for a medium-sized group. There was plenty of space for three couples, three single adults, and four dogs – with room to spare! The lake is peaceful and the mountain views from the lake are stunning. It felt like we had the whole lake to ourselves all week. We also enjoyed walking the road around the lake (around 2.5 miles), and the surrounding area was fantastic for several road rides. We can’t wait to return! ---

Aunt Helen's brothers built the house in 1947 for their mom, who had to move to town after their dad died. The house has been in the family ever since, and Steve and I are the third generation owners. The house has never been occupied by a smoker, and it is very clean. It still has the feel of the 80's, but the bedspreads and linens have been updated, along with a few of the rooms. It has brand new appliances, and the bathroom has been completely remodeled. The couches have also been replaced in the living room. We have the comforts of the 21st century with satellite tv in one bedroom and in the living room and speedy WIFI. There is plenty of history in Walhalla to see and read about, and the town is located in a central location to about anything that you and your family would like to do. Oconee County is a great place to come and visit if you enjoy the outdoors. It has spectacular waterfalls, whitewater rafting, river and lake fishing, museums, shopping, festivals, road biking, motorcycle riding, hiking, golf, Clemson University, old churches, fall foliage, and berry picking. White Pine Cottage is a tiny house ( 240 square feet) that sits under our spreading maple tree. We are located 15 miles from Clemson and near many natural attractions in the Foothills of SC. The Cottage has a queen bed on the main floor and two twin cots in the loft. There is a full sized walk-in shower in the bathroom and the sink is located outside the bathroom. No smoking or pets please.

Permanently set camper with a large covered porch, overlooking a pond. Full kitchen with table and seating for four, living room, bathroom and one bedroom. Towels, wash rags, toilet paper, bedding, coffee creamer and sugar, and all the necessities for for cooking provided as well. The on-site custodian is available round the clock.

After breakfast, grab one of our maps and head out to explore the several hiking trails, 6 mile mountain bike trail, waterfalls, lakes, antique shops, seasonal arts and craft fairs or festivals. Maybe play a round of golf, go whitewater rafting or attend a Clemson game, all within a 10-30 minute drive. Snow tubing and skiing are about an hour away. There is always something to do here all four seasons. Have dinner at one of our local restaurants or come back to the Farmhouse, cook out on the grill and pick some veggies from our seasonal garden for a fresh salad. If you decide that you want to venture further you can take a day trip on Hwy107 up to Cashiers then Highlands. It’s a beautiful drive with National and State parks along the way. With several historical sites, waterfalls, hiking trails and overlooks on the way you could easily spend more than a day exploring. Stop in Cashiers to browse or have lunch. Head further up the mountain to Highlands, a quaint town on the Eastern Continental Divide elevation 3727ft. Both towns are delightful to visit. You can head back to Rocky Top Lodge on Hwy28 for a sports car enthusiast or motorcyclist challenge. 88 curves in 11 miles. Parks, overlooks, and beautiful scenery abound as the road runs along the Chattooga River. Round trip is about 90 miles and about 3hrs 15 mins without stops. Winter lends a different feel to the area, beautiful in its own way. Still plenty to do indoors and out. Snowboarding, tubing and skiing are about an hour away. In the evening you can savor a meal at a local restaurant, attend a play at one of our local theaters, relax and enjoy live music at a street festival, craft beer pub or wine bar. If you are too tired from your active day to go out, then you can head back to Rocky Top Lodge and prepare dinner in the well-appointed kitchen, pick vegetables from our seasonal garden for a fresh salad and enjoy a glass of wine by the fire outside. Hear the wind rustling in the trees and feel the warmth of the fire on your face.
